1. To lead the development and implementation of a GRC-LG public relations and media strategy.
2. Manage the Organization’s website, email account and social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Blogs and other platforms) this includes setting up and optimizing pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the Organization’s social content.
3. Writes and distributes newsletters to subscribers.
4. Compile reports for management showing results.
5. Become an advocate for the Organization in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
6. Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the Organization and report notable threats to appropriate management.
7. Conceptualise and develop advocacy campaigns for the GRCLG in response to high profile issues and events, using Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, newspapers, radio and other media.
8. Preparation of monthly PR dispatches (stories and photographs) ‘from the field’ to the RSPB for distribution to donors and in support of fundraising campaigns.
