    M&E Volunteer / Consultant

    My current engagement includes M&E/Volunteering and consultancies in project and research work with cooperate and individual clients ranging from developing quantitative and qualitative survey tools development, training/mentoring, supervision, monitoring, database management and analysis reporting using electronic platforms like Kobo Toolbox, ODK collect software and Microsoft applications respectively.

    Project tasks include planning, training, implementation, supervision, monitoring, data collection and analysis reporting.

    Position: District Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

    Work: The European Union with co-funding from the German Government implements the Employment Promotion Program (EPP IV) which focuses on improving the living conditions of young people in rural communities through better employability and more employment opportunities in the beneficiary districts of Kailahun, Kono, Koinadugu and Falaba. The new phase of the EPP program – supported by the EU and Germany through the “Team Europe Initiative” – has the objective of creating 500 new jobs for salaried employees and 2000 new jobs for self-employed persons comprising 50% of women.
    Responsibilities
    Support Senior M&E Expert and the Team Leader on all matters related to the M&E processes, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle.
    • Support the development of an M&E concept for the project.
    • Implement M&E activities in the district, assure performance quality;
    • Ensure compliance with GIZ procedures during implementation of the assignment.
    • Guide / support technical experts on M&E issues.

    Tasks
    Under the guidance and supervision from the senior M&E expert, the Team Leader, and the District Coordinators, responsible for the M&E system and activities of the project in the district:
    • Monitor the training of (project-wide) 2,000 youth in vocational skills. This includes:
    (a) monitor the enabling of local public authorities
    (b) in cooperation with finance and procurement staff, monitor disbursement and use of local grants to support outstanding training graduates
    • Monitor the further development and application of the integrated farmer training (IFT) for (project-wide) 4,000 advance female and male farmer. This includes:
    (a) monitor the implementation of IFT trainings for the beneficiaries in the districts
    (b) monitor the capacity building of RES Ltd
    (c) in cooperation with the finance and procurement staff, monitor the disbursement of funds for the (project-wide) 1,500 best beneficiaries and the further support provided by technical staff,

    including training and coaching activities and in-kind goods
    • In cooperation with the finance and procurement staff, monitor the disbursement and financial implementation of of development grants through local authorities to 290 MSM
