Position Overview:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the digital infrastructure, data management systems, and technology tools that support Agricodeexpo Sierra Leone’s operations, training programs, and administrative needs. This includes maintaining hardware and software systems, supporting virtual learning platforms, ensuring cybersecurity, managing the organization’s website, and providing day-to-day IT support. The role ensures that technology is used efficiently, securely, and in ways that enhance organizational impact and outreach.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the setup, maintenance, and security of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure smooth operation of all IT systems, including cloud platforms, hardware, software, and databases.
2. Website and Platform Management
- Manage and regularly update the Agricodeexpo Sierra Leone website and ensure integration with global content.
- Support content uploads, design optimization, plugin updates, and basic web troubleshooting.
- Monitor site performance and ensure website security and data protection protocols are followed.
3. Program and Virtual Training Support
- Provide technical support for virtual learning platforms, online trainings, webinars, and digital classrooms.
- Train staff and facilitators on using tech tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, LMS platforms) for workshops and youth programs.
- Troubleshoot digital training issues and help ensure inclusive and accessible delivery.
4. Data and Systems Management
- Maintain secure databases for program data, beneficiary tracking, inventory, and digital attendance.
- Support the MEAL and Programs teams in managing digital tools for data collection and reporting (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, Google Forms).
- Ensure proper data backup and recovery systems are in place.
5. IT Support and Capacity Building
- Provide day-to-day IT support to staff, including software installation, email configuration, and device troubleshooting.
- Develop user guides and offer basic digital literacy training to staff and volunteers.
- Enforce IT policies, user access controls, and technology usage standards.
6. Innovation and Emerging Technologies
- Recommend and pilot new technologies to enhance operational efficiency, remote collaboration, and program innovation.
- Explore opportunities for youth-focused digital tools in agriculture, education, and entrepreneurship.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- At least 3–5 years of professional experience in IT systems management, preferably in the nonprofit or development sector.
- Proficiency in managing websites (WordPress or similar platforms), databases, cloud systems, and virtual training tools.
- Understanding of network security, data protection regulations, and digital infrastructure in low-resource settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with digital agriculture platforms, SMS-based outreach, or youth-oriented tech tools.
- Skills in graphic design, video editing, or content management are a plus.
- Experience with open-source tools and low-bandwidth tech solutions for rural areas.
- Commitment to capacity building and digital inclusion for youth and rural communities.
